Blog - Current Saturday, June 23, 2007 Genealogy at the Polish Pavilion I was very very pleased to be invited by the Polish Canadian Cultural of Regina (PCC) to set up a display on Polish genealogy at the Polish Pavilion at the annual Mosaic festival in Regina that was held May 31 - June 2. It was a pleasure to return to the pavilion as a volunteer for the first time in about 25 years. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, I had served as MC for the performances and as a volunteer in other areas of the pavilion having been a member of the founding executive of PCC. The great perfomances of our own Polonia Dance Ensemble of Regina and our great food and warm hospitlity make our Polish pavilion one of the most popular smaller pavilions in the festival. Congratulations to Polonia Dance Ensemble the PCC for another great pavilion. Mosaic is organized by the Regina Muticultural Council and I was proud to have serve on the founding committee of the first Mosaic Festival of Pavilions as the Multicultural Co-ordinatior of the provincial of Department of Culture and Youth. Congratulations to RMC for having made this festival such a long and popular one in our community. Posted at 3:28 pm - Read/Leave Comments (2) |
