What's New?
This is the first of a series of family histories of Polish and Ukrainian immigrants to Western Canada from the village of Trybuchowce (Trybukhivtsi); district of Buczacz (Buchach). Two Gocki families emigrated from Trybuchowce in 1897 and eventually settled in the Cedoux area just north of Weyburn, SK. Many thanks to the author Jerry Goski of Weyburn, SK who has granted permission to display this information. The pages with personal information on living descendants are not included. For that information or any comments and questions, please Contact Lindy. Pauline Kot wrote this family history in 1993 for a Kot Family Reunion and granted permission to display her work. John Kot was a Ukrainian who emigrated with his family in 1897 from Pyshkivtsi (Pyszkowce) in the Buchach (Buczacz) district eventually ending up in the McTaggart area just west of Weyburn, SK. Local Histories Thanks again to Gerald Goski of Weyburn, SK, this time for providing two important local histories:
